Local Water Supply in Los Angeles County

The Graduate Student Water Resources Group invites you to join us for lunch to learn:

How UCLA’s Sustainable LA Project envisions increased local water supply in Los Angeles County.

How the Southern California Water Replenishment District, serving over 4 million people in Los Angeles, has become independent of imported water and provided improved access, affordability, and quality of water for disadvantaged communities.

UCLA’s own Mark Gold, Associate Vice Chancellor for Environment and Sustainability will talk about the Sustainable LA Project and discuss sustainable water management with Ted Johnson from the Water Replenishment District of Southern California.

Ted Johnson is a Hydrogeologist at the Water Replenishment District of Southern California. Ted brings valuable insight into Southern California becoming independent of imported water through recycled water and groundwater management strategies.

We hope you will join us in learning from these experts in equitable water management, enjoy lunch, and engage in a Q&A with the panel.
