POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at University of California, Los Angeles, invites applications for part-time lecturer positions in areas of environmental science/studies and sustainability for the 2022-2023 academic year. These areas include: environmental science, sustainability, environmental justice, environmental economics, and life cycle assessment.

Responsibilities will include lecturing, conducting regularly scheduled office hours, writing and grading exams, and supervising graduate readers and/or teaching assistants.

An advanced graduate degree in environmental science/studies, sustainability, or closely related field, and excellent teaching, communication and interpersonal skills are required. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Institute of the Environment and Sustainability is building a qualified pool of potential instructors for specific teaching needs. Positions will be filled when needed so applicants are encouraged to submit materials early.
