Sean Wilson is a doctoral student interested in urban education and environmental justice. He is fascinated by how humans have come to value their relationship with the natural environment when they alter or transform public spaces and likes to consider himself an Urban Socio-Cultural Ecologist. He will study how contemporary political responses to environmental issues discriminate against minority and low income communities and how these injustices are currently dealt with. He hopes to design a sustainability education program to address environmental injustices. He graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2015. In his free time, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, hiking, and walking his dog.
