Climatologist Daniel Swain, using satellite imagery, has shown that it’s effortlessly burning through the town of Paradise, where thousands of buildings have been destroyed. He estimates that it’s burning around 80 acres per minute, aided by a sustained, strong, dry east wind and low humidity.
