Passionate about driving the clean energy transition

Delaney Buskard is a first-year ESE student who is passionate about driving the clean energy transition. She holds a BS in Environmental Sciences with a Minor in Public Policy and Leadership from the University of Virginia, and a Master of Environmental Management specializing in Energy & Environment from Duke University. Prior to enrolling in the ESE program, she has held various internships and part-time jobs concurrently with her studies. These roles included managing communications for UVA’s Office for Sustainability and Jewish Life at Duke, analyzing federal energy matters with the US Department of Energy and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and advancing utility-scale solar in the PJM region with AES Clean Energy. Outside of school and work, Delaney enjoys baking desserts, watching and playing tennis, and exploring new places (mainly restaurants).

This third annual report on the State of Corporate Sustainability Disclosure provides a comprehensive analysis of how S&P 500 companies are disclosing climate-related information based on 20 core metrics tracked by UCLA’s Open for Good Initiative. This year’s report focuses on four key areas: greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, net-zero targets, climate risk assessment, and climate transition planning.
