Sage Hill

Would you like to visit Sage Hill? If you are a UCLA instructor or professor and want to bring your class to Sage Hill, please fill out the “Teaching Request” form below. If you want to visit for any other reason, please fill out the “General Access” access request below. Sage Hill is managed by the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability (IoES). The information you provide helps us coordinate use of this unique place for hands-on teaching and undergraduate research.

Spring 2024 drop-in volunteering at Sage Hill: Fridays 1 pm – 4 pm!

UCLA students pull wild radish at Sage Hill.

Drop in between 1pm and 4pm on Friday afternoons and help restore Sage Hill. Meet at the end of the Krieger parking lot (see map). We will be fixing trails, monitoring vegetation, collecting seeds and clearing non-native weeds. Volunteers will be asked to sign a liability waiver here (o en español aquí). Close-toed shoes and long pants required, long-sleeved shirt recommended. We will provide gloves. Questions? E-mail sagehill@g.ucla.edu


Finding Sage Hill

Sage Hill is located in the NW corner of campus (red area of inset) near Bellagio and Sunset. For events we usually meet in the parking lot below Sage Hill (arrow). From campus, pedestrians can walk to Sage Hill from De Neve or from Bellagio (dashed blue lines). If driving, please park at parking lot 11.

You can get to Sage Hill from De Neve Dr. by walking down the driveway between Hitch and Centennial Hall. If driving, please park at UCLA lot 11.
