California has been experiencing an unprecedented heat wave since mid-August that affects the health of millions of inhabitants and promotes hundreds of fires. In Los Angeles, the city is relying on reflective pavements and revegetation to lower temperatures.  “By combining revegetation and solar reflection, we can have a real impact on temperatures and save lives,” believes Edith de Guzman, director in charge of research within the Tree People environmental association.
