Rajit Gadh for LAist—More batteries = fewer problems for California’s electric grid?

Rajit Gadh, professor at the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability and the UCLA Samueli School of Engineering, joined LAist 89.3-FM’s “AirTalk” to discuss how large-scale battery storage is reshaping California’s electric grid. As director of UCLA’s Smart Grid Energy Research Center, Gadh highlighted the role of emerging software innovations in managing grid efficiency.

“One of the biggest innovations that is happening now is software and how do you connect things all together,” Gadh said at approximately the 11:10 mark.
