Julia Navarro

Second Year MBA Student

UCLA Anderson School of Management

Prior to Anderson, Julia worked for the Federal Government in various capacities. She began her career in the U.S. Department of State where she negotiated agreements and managed the logistics for safeguarding national security information, while balancing the public’s right for access. After that, Julia moved to the White House’s National Security Council where she supported a wide range of homeland security policies, including those on global health issues, climate-induced natural disasters, and unaccompanied immigrant minors. Throughout her career, Julia has focused on faithfully serving the public while supporting and advancing policy efforts in national security and government transparency.

While at Anderson, Julia is focused on supplementing her policy experience with business strategy and operations principles to amplify her continuing impact. Julia currently serves as VP of Operations for the Women’s Business Connection, VP of Alumni for the Anderson Latino Management Association, and VP of Admissions for the Strategy & Operations Management Association.

Julia spent the summer at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch on the Strategic Growth Markets Acquisition team. She led the development and execution of the strategy to acquire and better serve underrepresented segments. She also used this time to explore the historic sites of New York City and taste every bagel spread available.
