Making air healthier to breathe for disadvantaged communities through engagement and local scale analysis

Maggie is a second year ESE Student. In June 2018, she received her MPH in Environmental Health Sciences with a certificate in Leaders in Sustainability from UCLA.  In 2015, she received her B.S. in Environmental Toxicology and minor in Human Physiology from UC Davis.  Currently, Maggie is an Air Quality Specialist at the South Coast Air Quality Management District, where she works on health effects of air pollution and  California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) air quality documents and policy. Her academic and professional interests include exploring how to quantify local scale health impacts of air pollution within disadvantaged communities. Outside of UCLA, Maggie enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, exercising, hiking, reading, cooking, trying new hobbies, and exploring all the food that Southern California has to offer.
