Max studies water resources planning and policy in California, with particular interests in drinking water quality and the water–fire nexus. He is a Graduate Student Researcher with the UCLA Luskin Center for Innovation and previously worked as a water resources planner at Woodard & Curran. He holds a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from UC Irvine and bachelor’s degrees in history and communications from UCLA.
