Michael Chester

Second Year MBA Student

UCLA Anderson School of Management

Prior to Anderson, Michael spent six years in risk management where he helped private equity funds and financial services firms improve their investment due diligence and operational efficiency. This work allowed him to travel extensively and assist clients throughout multiple countries including India, Brazil, and South Africa. This summer, he worked in corporate development for Liberty Mutual.

Throughout his career, Michael has developed a strong interest in social impact and has continued to take on opportunities to advance this cause while at Anderson. This past year, he took part in the Net Impact Case Competition working with a team supporting the UCLA Stein Eye Center. They were awarded 1st place in the competition after developing a strategy for the UCLA Mobile Eye Clinic to enhance its efforts in aiding underprivileged children throughout Los Angeles. Outside of the classroom, Michael enjoys a variety of sports, including basketball, football, and golf. He is also an amateur screenwriter and stand-up comedian.
