Sonia Aronson is a third year environmental science student with a concentration in conservation biology. She has been writing for the communications department at IoES for over a year and enjoys studying environmental science and helping others understand it better. During the 2018-2019 school year she participated in the Sustainable L.A. Grand Challenges undergraduate research program, where she studied restoration at the Ballona Wetlands. During the fall of 2019 she spent several months in Costa Rica studying hummingbird feeding behavior. In addition to her work at IoES, she is also a Carbon Neutrality Initiative Ambassador, where she helps students understand how they can lower their carbon footprints. In her free time, she enjoys reading, running, and hiking.
